Technical Support Personnel

• Salary: £22,000–£25,000 depending on experience
• Location: Greater Exeter (Halsgrove House, Tiverton Business Park, Tiverton, Devon, EX16 6SS)
• Hours: Full time, Monday to Friday, 09:00–17:00
• Working pattern: Hybrid flexible working available
• Benefits: 28 days’ holiday per annum and company pension scheme

About the role

This Technical Support role is responsible for providing first-line support to internal staff and external customers across our web portal and bespoke software solutions. The role also includes quality control testing, raising change requests for the development team, and helping to maintain a high standard of customer support and product performance.

This is a strong opportunity for someone looking to build their technical support skills in a specialist software environment.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve customer issues via the ticket desk, phone and email
• Support the onboarding and training of new and existing customers and internal staff
• Carry out QC and testing of software releases
• Document change requests for the development team
• Create and maintain training materials and customer-facing knowledge base content
• Maintain strong relationships with existing customers
• Monitor customer usage and identify areas for improvement
• Analyse usage data in Excel for senior management
• Provide occasional internal desk-side support for colleagues

Desired qualities and experience

• Proactive and able to work independently
• Good knowledge of Windows operating systems
• Good understanding of Android and iOS operating systems
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Previous experience working in a SaaS company is desirable
• Previous experience with Zendesk, Freshdesk or similar support platforms is desirable
• Previous experience supporting bespoke software is desirable
